I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!i don't think it was better than the first one...but usually sequals just aren't as good as the first movies!!!! but it had johnny depp AND orlando bloom...how could you not love it?? but other than that it had great actors...great characters...awesome effects...great action...pretty good story line/plot (although it was rather long)...best movie of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i can't wait for the 3rd movie to come out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought it was pretty good for a sequel, but it didn't even hold a candle to the original. Although they had all the original characters in it, it just didn't have the same appeal as before. I think that the actors have become to comfortable in the roles, so the sheen sort of wore off. Johnny Depp remained fantastic, although he was a bit subdued for most of the movie. In fact, it got pretty boring for a while there. But the ending was fabulous! The action scenes were great, with some humor mixed in, and the ending left me squeeling for more!!!!
Overall, a good movie, but not the greatest....but I still can't wait for the third!!!

Yes, for the most part. It was a good action flick. I really liked the Davy Jones crew makeup, and the Kraken. There was a pretty good plot/storyline, too. There were some pretty humurous situations as well. However, I feel that it was missing something the first movie had..but I cannot put my finger on it. Plus, it kind of sucks to have to wait to find out what is going to happen..but I guess that is what sequels are all about..

Overall the movie was enjoyable. However, it certainly wasn't as entertaining as the first one.
Pros:
-The CG was phenominal. Davey Jones and his crew were fantastic, and the scenes where the kraken attacked.
-Johnny Depp was just as good in this one as in the other.
-The cliffhanger at the end. I was expecting a cameo of Barbossa, it seems they like to bring back old characters from the first movie. Nearly every prominent character who appeared in the first movie "fat and wodden eye pirate, Swan, Norrington, most of Sparrow's crew, etc." made appearances again.
Cons:
-The movie relied too heavily on the CG and not enough on the storyline.
-They altered Elizabeth's character too dramatically. I enjoyed her character in the first movie. In this one she became...sadistic, coneiving, full of deception. I found myself annoyed with her.
-The Jack/Elizabeth kiss. Unnecessary, and revolting.
Overall I was entertained, but nothing like the original.

This is a great movie!
Fantasy! Adventure! Sexual yearnings! A girl in men's clothing and a man in makeup!
Johnny Depp was brilliant and the other cast worked hard to keep up with him.
It is a fun and funny movie.

Well to be specific... i dint like it !! Jhonny depp was the only thing in the movie which really was meant for the movie.. rest stars were just an addition ! to complete the story. and use of some kind of funny monster made it more cartoonic. well in the end it ends on u how u take it as... but for me , i lost my 200 bucks on it :P

Mmmm...you know what? I was about to see the movie when somebody post a question about the ending of pirate of carribean...it ruins everything!
I canceled and decided to wait till the next sequel comes...gggrrrrrr......

Yeah! of course the second movie is never going to be as good as the first... but this was a great surprise. there was alot of action and the graphics were cool. i just hope they don't ruin what they have with a third movie!

I saw it and loved it!! Although not as good as the first one, it was still action-packed, and funny to boot. The best part was the end (the last 20 mins.)!!! I can't wait to see the final movie!!!!

NO! It wasnt as good as the first one. Everything in the 2nd movie is only leading up to the third film.
