Jody Schekter.
Maybe that's silly of me as I was only born 3 years after he won the Championship, but my patriotism wins out.
He won the Championship for my country, South Africa, and my team, Ferrari - 1979

My current favorite is Raikkonen(I guess he shows more then all the other drivers in Formula 1), my all time favorite is the irreplaceable MIKA HAKKINEN, and I hope with all my heart that sometime in the next few seasons he'll find a strength to make a F1 comeback – for the sake of the millions fans out there…

ps keke rosberg was right about Alonso - all this time in F1 there were few dishonest man (scum as you will) but the champions have always been great gentleman and intelligent tacticians – Alonso is not…

Started watching in 1998. So wouldn't claim Senna, Fangio or Prost so on as my favourite. For me Schumi is God of F1 and Ferrari the best team. The tacticians in Brawn, Todt and Schumi himself are a handful for ne1.

PS: @above Do not quote Keke Rosberg. One can quote many more drivers saying better things about Schumi, his talent and stuff. U say Senna. How about Senna Prost incidents.

Current? FERNANDO ALONSO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a former World Champion said about the favourite driver of so many people...
"He's a cheap cheat. He should go home and leave the sport to honest people." (Keke Rosberg, Monaco GP qualifying, 27th May 2006; you should know who he was talking about)

Current: Barrichello
All Time: Senna

Not because they Brazilians. Barrichello because he seem to be a nice guy. Senna because he just was the best.
