Are there any Islamic charities that help non-muslims?

There are numerous Christian charities that help people regardless of their religion or culture, such as Christian Aid and Cafod. The Islamic charities I have heard of only seem to give aid to muslims. I have never heard of any that do not discriminate. If anyone knows of any, please name them. If there aren't any, I would like to know why?

There are many hundreds of charities run by Muslims that do not discriminate. However, usually when they are actually referred to as the Islamic Whatever, it is a charity specifically for Muslims. There are also many Christian charities that do the same. The difference is that if the word Christian or Catholic is in the name, it can't be assumed that they only work with Christians or Catholics.

It is a tenant of Islam that a percentage of income is given to charity. Many Muslims actually give to Christian charities, just because they agree with what that group is doing. Several friends of mine have switched their yearly gifts to www.Heifer.org because they like the world view. Technically, although it rarely comes up, that is a Christian-founded organization.

I refuse to donate to any charity which requires someone to be of a certain ethnicity or religion in order to receive help. Heifer International and Children International are good choices, if you are worried about that. Good question. Hope this helps.

Actually u might find that the answer is yes ! 'Course they help non-muslims (and animals too btw) Its about respect and Islam teaches that everyone is equal regardless of their colour or faith . So dont just go assuming things . Oh yh and i aint chattin bullshit i actually do ma research before i answer any questions . :) I agree that Islamic relief and all the other big ones dont help non-muslims but if u really luk into it u'll find that there are sum charities that are not so famous and everyfin but are open to everyone . Hey if u dont believe that muslims actually help peeps of other faiths then ask urself this question : Why did they help the Christians who were injured in the Pakistan earthquake ? Cos they were worried bwt their reputation ? The truth is they cudve let them die and no-one wudve found out .

Don't you know that Saudi Arabia or many like minded Muslim countries punish non-muslims to carry their religious books in their country. They discourage employers to employ non-muslims.
You have heard the story of an Afghan muslim man converted to Christianity some time back--All Afghans demanded his blood.
One of the ministers in Islamic fundamentalist govt in Somalia said that "we find nothing wrong with the fact that Islam supports terrorism, is intolerant about non-muslims, do not want non-muslims to exist and America has given us a bad label unnecessarily". Persecution of non-muslim minorities in Muslim majority countries is quite common and acceptable to all Muslims lving in those countries, examples are Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc..
In the light of above, you still think Muslim charities would ever help non-muslims in any way; theyhave no good or kind feelings for all non-muslims [for them they are infidels and they are taught to hate them]. Recently ABC TV had confirmed this from school text books in Saudi Arabia. Why Saudi as that is the biggest financer of all Islamis fundamentalism/ terrorism and the money is funnelled through Islamic charities.
The rich muslim countries spend their excess money in promoting Islamic fundamentalism , buying arms to kill more non-muslims to spread their pan-Islamic agenda---never for poor and needy non-muslims. Don't you read and are not aware of things going around!!

Hmm this is something to think about. Islamic charities only help Islamics and Muslims. Christian charities feed and clothe you but expect you to convert.. Hinduism is no better they have one or two charities and they are befuddled with inter caste politics. I think it is better to say whoever has the mostmmoney wins.

good question - i think the respond is 'No' - i watch for somebody correcting me on that, yet I wont carry my breath!!! i in my opinion might never provide money to any charity that became so discriminatory in it is dealings, until of direction it became in basic terms for animals with the aid of fact on the tip of day they are so plenty extra friendly than people!
