The second angle of a triangle is two times as large as the first. The third angle is 10 degrees more then the second angle. Find the mesurement of the first angle?

The angles have to add up to 180 degrees.

First: X degrees
Second: 2*X degrees
Third: 2X+10

So -- X + 2X+ (2X+10) = 180

5X +10 = 180

5X = 180 - 10 = 170

X = 170/5 = 34

the first is 34 , the second 68 and te third 78 which the sum of the 3 angles equals 180 degrees
