It doesn’t go against God, and it’s only based on science. You don’t have to believe that our ancestors came from monkeys, but can you at least acknowledge some aspects? Natural selection? If Intelligent Design were true than why did God give us and many animals useless body parts (molars, tail-bone, etc…)? ANSWER THE QUESTION!

Young Earth Creationists are of the mindset that the bible, particularly Genesis, is 100% literal, and is "God Breathed." Being God breathed, creationists honestly believe that science will eventually prove each and every aspect, from the grand to the minute details, correct.

They believe the bible is infallible.

It is important to note that this biblical infallibility applies, as they see it, to implications far away from spiritual and moral health, and also applies to science, paleontology, cosmology, and other fields of science.

It is interesting to note that when science agrees with the bible, and it does sometimes, creationists howl about how the bible is infallible. When it disagrees, there is a grand scientific conspiracy to discredit the bible.

When the data is clearly accurate, is clearly interpreted correctly, and when the objectivity of the scientists who evaluate the evidence is without compromise, creationists just close their eyes, plug their ears, and continue repeating whatever it is that they want to be true. That, and they will also twist and or falsify science to fit their narrow view of the world.

You should be advised though, that vestigial limbs are very rarely totally useless. The human tailbone serves as an appendage for some important muscles. Creationists have certainly had it explained to them, however, that just because an atrophied (vestigial) limb is still somehow useful, it doesn't indicate that the limb is not vestigial.

A better example is the vestigial limbs in boas and pythons. They are used during mating for the purpose of stimulation, but they are clearly vestigial.

From http://wiki.cotch.net/index.php/Suboptimal_design
"In many organisms examples of suboptimal design or jury-rigged design can be seen. These features can be explained easily by evolution, the "blind watchmaker", which can only act on what it's given to act upon, but not by creationism, or intelligent design (except by the Theory of "God created it that way to test our faith") which states that a designer God created all organisms with a clean slate. Suboptimal design is generally not discussed in evolution, but there is some examination of the nature of evolutionary constraints. Public defenders of evolutionary theory like to keep it prominent anyway, as an answer to intelligent design's organized complexity and irreducible complexity. It is significant to observe that a single example of a suboptimal or otherwise imperfect design instantaneously falsifies the idea that a master designer has created by its intervention all life specifically tailored to fit its particular niche. The Fall has to be offered as an explanation if ID is to be internally coherent for evidence suggesting an error in the design of life by an allegedly flawless architect.

Thus, suboptimal design forces ID proponents to decide whether they want to be scientists and acknowledge that their argumentation does not work, or pseudoscientists who invent excuses, making their hypothesis unfalsifiable."

Also, http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/jury-rigged.html gives a detailed and informative list of different vestigial limbs, organs, and metabolic processes in different organisms. Don't bother to pass it on to creationists. They won't even bother to read it or try to understand it. They will just attack it from whatever angle they can.

no body parts are completely useless. All parts require on the whole, and if something is damaged has to be removed to keep from corrupting the entire body. The whole body then suffers at the loss in some way.
Yes there is natural selection but God has put that process into effect. We would like to think we have it all figured out but we are nothing without him. He chooses if I will take another breath into my lungs each day and when he stops my heart I hope that I will finally discover the answers to my questions. Though one questiono I could nebver have is if he exists. To me it seems very eveident in all the beauty in this world. Its what we do with his gifts is what really matters.
God uses even seemingly useless things all of the time...mabe to humble us, or to make comparisons by, because we are too human to understand divinity we dont know the answers to all of nature and never will until he wants to reveal the mysteries to us. Better to have faith in my creator, than to put faith in science. Mankind is a foolish being but capable of true wisdom only when trusting in the word of the Lord. There are many scientific "discoveries" that had already been mentioned in the bible. If you sincerely want to know the truth, open the pages of the bible, then open your heart and you will know. If you cant understand any passage go to someone who does and ask for help, and do not forget to pray for guidance as well. God bless you

There are some really good answers here, I might add that every day scientists prove the bible has been right all along. Believe it or not but the vast majority of scientists believe that GOD created the world.

I will answer your question with another so atleast we can all have a simple brain teaser here.
How can you know for sure you evolved when you do not know essence of your body parts and how they came into place?
Every true artist who appreciate anything he/she see/feels will know logically there is a Greater Artist someplace busy at work.
Everybody part is useful. an indication of how even what you think useless, you cant creat!

First of all, let me state that I have been up and down these questions regarding evolution and though I have seen many FACTS presented showing evolution to be a farce- I have seen no facts to support evolution. Time after time I see evolutionists saying "evolution is real, there is no God, Christians are stupid, blah blah blah. " Every once in a while I will see someone who believes in evolution present an article or an intelligent discussion but not one thing presented has shown any proof or convincing evidence that any one species evolved into another. Now I am not saying that christians have not posted their ignorant arguments or demeaning lashback but there have been a lot more factual statements and intelligent discussion from the Christian side. Call me biased but I am just telling you exactly what i have been reading here just looking at the evolution questions- read it yourself.
As to the useless body parts, I don't believe that any of our body parts are useless- I do believe and have seen evidence to support that as we are degenerating because of poor nutrition, toxins in the earth and atmosphere, build up of toxins and lack of proper vitamins and minerals in our bodies, our bodies do not grow and function the way God designed them to. this is just plain common sense.
Here are some other FACTS to ponder:

I cannot make you believe something that you don't want to believe, but I urge you to use discernment, reason and logic when thinking aobut evolution- all the things evolutionists accuse us of not using , but really- do the principles of evolution make sense? If this has taken place over the course of millions of years, little by little, then we are being decieved when we are told we are looking for "the missing link" we are looking for millions of missing links- besides that- there are so many common sense, scientific questions that evolution just cannot answer- no matter how you twist it.
If you are really interested in education and not just disproving something that does not fit your mold- read this article, it is fun reading but very informative and common sense-

here are other bits of interesting fact for you to ponder :

Charles Dawson, a British lawyer and amateur geologist announced in 1912 his discovery of pieces of a human skull and an apelike jaw in a gravel pit near the town of Piltdown, England . . . Dawson's announcement stopped the scorn cold. Experts instantly declared Piltdown Man (estimated to be 300,000 to one million years old), the evolutionary find of the century. Darwin's missing link had been identified. Or so it seemed for the next 40 or so years. Then, in the early fifties . . . scientists began to suspect misattribution. In 1953, that suspicion gave way to a full-blown scandal: Piltdown Man was a hoax . . . tests proved that its skull belonged to a 600-year-old woman, and its jaw to a 500-year-old orangutan from the East Indies." Our Times--the Illustrated History of the 20th Century (Turner Publishing, 1995, page 94).

Science Fiction
The Piltdown Man fraud wasn't an isolated incident. The famed "Nebraska Man" was built from one tooth, which was later found to be the tooth of an extinct pig. "Java Man" was found in the early 20th Century, and was nothing more than a piece of skull, a fragment of a thigh bone and three molar teeth. The rest came from the deeply fertile imaginations of plaster of Paris workers. "Heidelberg Man" came from a jawbone, a large chin section and a few teeth. Most scientists reject the jawbone because it's similar to that of modem man. Still, many evolutionists believe that he's 250,000 years old. No doubt they pinpointed his birthday with good old carbon dating. Now there's reliable proof. Not according to Time magazine (June 11, 1990). They published an article in the science section that was subtitled, "Geologists show that carbon dating can be way off." Don't look to "Neanderthal Man" for any evidence of evolution. Recent genetic DNA research indicates the chromosomes do not match those of humans. They do match those of bipedal primates (apes).

What does Science Say?
Here are some wise words from a few respected men of science: "Evolution is a fairy tale for grown-ups. This theory has helped nothing in the progress of science. It is useless." (Professor Louis Bounoure, Director of Research, National Center of Scientific Research). "Evolution is unproved and unprovable." (Sir Arthur Keith--he wrote the foreword to the 100th edition of, Origin of the Species). "Scientists who go about teaching that evolution is a fact of life are great con-men, and the story they are telling may be the greatest hoax ever." (Dr. T. N. Tahmisian, Atomic Energy Commission, USA).

"To suppose that the eye . . . could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree." Charles Darwin, The Origin of Species

A great resource for some education that is logical and common sense is called "The Science or Evolution: expand your mind" You can get this DVD from WayoftheMaster.com

The fact is there is nothing here that was not created, planned with a purpose in mind. Is there anything on this earth- not natural that just came together on its own. You can put pieces of 'stuff' in a box and put whatever conditions you choose and without a purpose and planning for that purpose, you won't get anything useful. I have yet to see anyone show matter being created out of nothing, or one species evolving into another or any proof of that happening. this world works in a clockwork type order , there is precision and purpose to everything you see - you cannot have purpose without a plan and you cannot have a plan without a planner- there is nothing that can disprove intelligent design. Period!

evolution that they do not believe..
I believe that some creationists even believe in God driven evolution.
