can't understand gays?

I cant understand why gays don't have a centre for rehabillitation to help them go strait, why why why!
the gays need help medically


are they mentally derranged or just a mental illness?

Hrm. All the people that have degrees in the field seem to disagree with you (not to mention a highschool degree or higher). The APA, AMA and too many others to list have decided you're the reason some of us come out screwed up, not the fact that we're gay. The reason they don't have rehab is because A) there's no reason to and B) it doesn't work. Sorry, you lose.

If you can't understand something: either try to understand it like a compassionate human being, or else go on with your merry life accepting that there's some things you don't get.

Well, Homosexuality is not concidered a mental illness by the Medical Community, just anti-gay thinkers.

Also, you get help if you want and need it, which the Gay community isn't doing, they are fine being gay and there is no Health related need to stop being gay (Don't quote AIDS, as it's an STD so straight people also get it now.)

Here another reason, we don't know what caosue gayness, some choose, others don't. You cant "treat" something if you don't know what caouses it.

Is there a center for anti-gay thinks to make them more tollerent of others lifestyles.

Do this excerise, replace gay with black or jew, or some otherminorty ans post that question, see how you are treated.

im not sure what sort of medical/psychological training you have had to diagnose a large number of people as unwell but i think you are a little confused.

there isnt enough room to explain the psychobiological beginnings of the brain and our sex organs but i can assure you it is far more natural and far less strange than you think.

read 'brain gender' by Melissa Hines. it can be a bit heavy going but im sure you will get the general drift. there are also alot of other books out there that explain how we develop in the womb and throughout our lives that would help with your confusion.

plus..... why are you so worried about others sexuality? just concentrate on your own.

They are not ill, so they don't need treatment or rehab. And they don't need to go straight either. Homosexuality is just a way of being, just as respectable as heterosexuality.

I confess I don't understand them either. But I know I am not going to understand everything. And I know I can respect them, even though I cannot understand them.

BTW, sex is not about having children (most heterosexual people have sex for fun most of the time). And what about people who cannot have children? And don't tell me the bible says it's wrong to have sex for fun. I don't believe in the bible as an unquestionable source.

that's like asking someone to be rehabillitated because they are left handed, or blue eyed.

whenever someone asks me when I knew I was gay I always have to ask, well when did you know you were straight?

if you are a logical person, then you would agree that humans have a basic need to choose a life where they would be most likely to be loved and accepted, by both his family and his culture. why would anyone CHOOSE a life in America where they would be openly hated for being themselves?

People that go to straight camps tend to end up with mental issues because they are forced to act a way opposite from their nature.
The shrinks all figured out it wasn't an illness years and years ago.
