At least 10 of the answers are from NASCAR bunnies and some even live in two-story houses and don't always have biscuits and gravy or grits for breakfast; where are all the men? Putting new rims on the '74 Chevy, buying a case of Budweiser, cleaning the shotgun, buying strings for the banjo ...
Oh, I'm just winding you up; those of you who had your sense of humor surgically removed can have the procedure reversed - by a surgeon in Flat Tire, North Carolina. :-)

First, and foremost, I love NASCAR, but... If you ever go to a racetrack campground, you might see where some of those stereotypes originated. HIGH entertainment value for your dollar.
Jeff Foxworthy ought to have a NASCAR campsite of the week on his BlueCollar TV show. Those people have a darn good time, too. Just rowdy enough for fun, but rarely cross the line to truly obnoxious. The best part is that if you stroll over to chat, you are welcomed with open arms and may end up with a beer, a burger and a new group of friends. Go Tony!

People who say that about Nascar fans are only kidding. I mean, come on. We know that not everyone who likes Nascar is a redneck, but it's a playful way of making fun of those that do like it.
Me? I could care less about it. It's not really a sport. It's a competition. It should be called 'Competitive Entertainment'. But rednecks wouldn't be able to say that without fumblin' their words, so they call it a sport. We all know it's not a sport, and that racing around in a circle is boring AS hell!

You might be a redneck if you ask a question about nascar and forget the S!
Just kidding, I personally enjoy nascar races, but it has a lot of redneck history so it will take a while for that to die down.

Ahhhh, who cares what people think. Mostly they are just trying to get a rise out of us NASCAR fans. I am a huge race fan and I still love Redneck jokes. They are funny! One of my favorite comedians is Jeff Foxworthy, he's a redneck...so?
I'd rather be a little bit of a redneck and know how to have fun than somebody with a stick up thier a** wondering how to.

Me!
I love Nascar and I am college educated, own a two story house, have all my teeth, am engaged to someone not related to me, have a luxury car, live in the city in NE Ohio and all that other BS haters say rednecks/Nascar fans are!
The ultimate question is if they hate the sport so much, why bother asking or answering questions related to it? Grow up and shut up! They aren't circles and it is a sport!

I am.
I'm also sick of the "NASCAR is not a sport" comments.
Or the "NASCAR is a waste of fuel" comments.
The idiots making such comments are a waste of air and should all be suffocated. I'm sick of narrow-minded, half-baked, "holier-than-thou" jerks stereotyping fans of a sport when said stereotypes have no basis in fact.
How about I say that anyone who DOESN'T like NASCAR simply doesn't have the IQ to comprehend it? Pisses you off, no?

It don't bother me none. I'm a redneck in the old sense of the term. I'm not stupid as some like to think that rednecks are, and all of that..but I am a little backwoods old school about some things.
If people get their jollies off of making crude comments about people they don't know than more power to them if that's how they want to live their lifes. It doesn't stop me from living mine the way I want to.

I live in Maine, can't get more Northern than that, but I love NASCAR. I sometimes would like to move south, just to be closer to the action. Plenty of jokes have been made about our accents, and intelligence, but I dont take it personally, and neither should you. People that are make those kind of remarks insecure, uninformed and not very intelligent.

You say "redneck" like it's a bad thing or something. There's in nothing wrong with being southern or country but when someone makes a religion out of being a redneck they definately have issues. Everyone has a little bit redneck in them somewhere.
