I had 12 scholarship offers for football as a quarterback in highschool. I turned them down and now I am working at burger king in Seattle. I am now 34. Was it dumb for me to turn down 12 scholarship offers for 6 dollars and hour?

Well, if coach woulda put you in the fourth quarter, they’d have been state champions. No doubt. No doubt in my mind. You better believe things had been different. You’d have gone pro in a heartbeat. You’d be making millions of dollars and living in a big ol’ mansion somewhere, soaking it up in a hot tub with your soul mate.

Don't beat yourself up about it.What's done is done. You were not an adult when you where faced with that choice.
I understand and feel your pain and frustration more than you can ever know. That's why I'm telling you"Don't hold on to the past, love yourself, forgive yourself for making a mistake.
Go out there and be the best burger king employee the world has ever seen. You're live is not over, you can still get more education.Whether you do or not, love yourself anyhow.Quilt and sorrow over what could have been can only make your life miserable

People above me,it is very easy and evil to kick a man when he's down.

well hind sight is always much clearer. at the time that you turned those down, it might not have been what you wanted at the time. now looking back at it, you could probably just kick your self. The important thing here is that you cannot change your past behavior. you can only change your future behavior. you still can go back to college. if you are worried about being able to afford it, there is financial aid to help assist you. if you need to work at bk full time to pay the bills, then go to classes when you don't have to work, and start off slowly. please don't beat yourself up for something that you did when you were young and naive, change your habits today, for your future tomorrow.

everybody makes mistakes
think about what you want to do that will provide you with a solid
set of credentials, and go for it.
Work your Micky D job until you've gotten the training and/or education you need, then pursue a legitimate career.
You'll be glad you did.
don't worry about the past, work for the future

The fact that you even have to ask if you were stupid tells me that you are in fact stupid. Even if you wouldn't have been a star athlete, you could have still gotten a college education and found a better job. That was very dumb.
