I have a problem . Right when my son or I are really kicking butt. Either campain or co - op. The whole system will freeze up. The only thing to do is power off. Then you have to start from the last saved point. This fing sucks. Is this a normal problem ?

With the XBox if you have experienced the same problem with other games but have noticed that it occurs more with Halo then from my sister's experience it is a NORMAL problem of the XBox system and if you were to add a hard drive attachment which plugs into the XBox your problems will be solved.
According to my educated sister when Bill Gates put out the XBox 360 the production schedule was so fast that the system had too many bugs in it's design.
The Hard Drive!!!! is the key to success.

Its not normal. Talk to the dealer that sold you the game and test it out with him. If the problem persists, it may warrant the purchase of a new disc.

I have never had that problem. I don't know what could be wrong. It's probably the X-box.
