David Bernath, senior vice president for programming at Comedy Central says:

"We are thrilled that Matt Groening and 20th Century Fox Television have decided to produce new episodes of 'Futurama' and that Comedy Central will be the first to air them."
"There is a deep and passionate fan base for this intelligent and very funny show that matches perfectly with our audience, and it is great that we can offer them not just the existing library but something they've never seen as well."

Also...

Apparently 4 DVD movies are to be released, the first of which should appear around Christmas 2007, although it has been suggested that the 4 DVD movies are simply 4 of the episodes due to be shown on CC.

Hope that helps!!

I looked on wikipedia and found this out. I hope it is true. I am fed up of hubby watching old episodes.

On June 22, 2006, Comedy Central officially announced that they have ordered 13 new episodes of the series
