He needs a catalyst and an untimatum. Something has to change or your in a go to loop you do the same thing over and over and it never changes. You have to decide what that is because you know him better than anyone else. You are going to be stuck the rest of your life this way until you do something because he is happy and getting away with it.

Hey, babe,
Feel sorry for you. i know what it's like to be on your own all the time while your blokes getting pissed. I did it for eight years and do you know what i did? I left him, six weeks after our daughter was born. I got my self confidence back. I started college, i saw my friends again and got me back! He ended up in prison after spending all his money on his and his mates drink and drugs. Now who's laughing!!! P.s. Don't think this was easy for me because i worshipped the ground he walked on but i still did it and i'm so happy now. Just so you know no matter how much you love them, it's not worth risking your sanity for and giving your life up for.
Good luck babe x

He seeks escape from his current situation. He may also have a drinking problem. A serious drinking problem. Try talking to him about going to an AA meeting, see how he feels about that. Also tell him that it really bothers you, that it makes you unhappy.

Give him an ultimatum. it's either you or the pub. Even if you don't use it, have a plan, have somewhere to go just in case you do need it. Good luck.
