The Priory of Sion, the organisation linked to the Merovingian Dynasty of France was a hoax cooked up by three Frenchmen in the 1950's. The chief perpetrator, a Mr. Pontard ,eventually was exposed and he made a confession. That admission was prepared as an affidavit and Mr. Pontard signed it. The other two conspirators also admitted that all the Priory documents were forged. That mythical organisation supposedly protected the information that the Merovingian line could be traced back to the girl whose alleged parents were Christ and Mary Magdalene.
It is therefor disproved, and is an interesting work of fiction.

the Da Vinci Code is fiction but is based on historical ideasthat have been around for years. The book was not a shock to me as I have owned many of the source books for over 20 years.
Isn't it strange that people are not prepared to believe that a decsendant of Jesus could be alive but fully believe in someone being born of a virgin, being crucified then rising from the dead.

I believe the actual DaVinci Code novel is definetely fiction, however, it has been proofed that there was a coverup about Jesus real life, the dead sea scrolls agree with this.
