In the movie, "The Wizard of Oz" I have a theory that Dorthy died when the twister ripped up her house. Where she went "OZ" was in fact a realm between good and evil, heaven and hell , Glenda and the Munchkins were angels, there to point her in the right direction. Now, the yellow brick road was a road to heaven where she was disturbed by the devil a few times ( witch), she encounterd a few lost soals"scare crow, tin man & lion " they went to go see God who sent them on a quest to steal satins pitch fork ( witches broom ) to see if they were worthy enough to come through the gates of heaven. when they came back the lost soals were granted into heaven but it wasnt dorthy's time yet and she was sent back to her life.

Um, actually, in the book she really went there and had to make a much different journey than in the movie. The quest was really just to get rid of her so she wouldn't expose the wizard. Turns out there was no Emerald City, it just looked that way because everyone had to wear emerald-colored glasses. There were lessons to learn. Interesting theory, though. Have you read the Chronicles of Narnia? There are 7 books, but a lot of people only know about The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe- which is actually the 2nd book. I think you would be interested in the correlations the author made between the events in the book and Christianity. He wrote it with the comparison in mind.

i heard a theory that the wizard was Jesuses twin,or look alike or something like that,or maybe it was just a nightmare derived from many cares, fortune causes nightmares and nightmares make you crazy, but it's all right, she's doin the best that she can,Dorthy was taken note of and delivered from her judge forever, unlike some people i kno

You've obviously given this a lot of thought. It's an interesting analogy.

You are way off base. According to the production staff, it was merely a dream- not death and seeing white light, etc.

That is awesome. I agree with you. I wish I could think deep like that, but stuff like that never comes to me. I have to be in awe of everyone else who is able to do that.
