my son had crayons in his pockets, and I didn't check before I threw them in the washer, so now I have a load of clothes that has crayons all over them. Is there any way to get it out?

I don't have much to add to this, but I wanted to post to say I'm so sorry that happened - sonds like about the worst laundry nightmare you could have!

I would use an iron set on low, and newspaper on both sides, like a sandwich. keep moving the newspaper as it absorbs, and do it until it stops absorbing. Then try hand scrubbing the spots. You may be dealing with color stains even after you get the wax out.

Almost sounds like a batik problem. You could try placing absorbent paper on both sides of the fabric and applying a hot iron to the paper covered area. Some of the re-melted crayon will soak into the paper. Repeated applications with fresh paper will remove a lot but not all of the crayon. There is a product named "Goop" that can be bought at places like Home Depot ot Lowes that might get rid of the rest of the wax, but I'm inclined to think the dye used to make the crayon a color will probably permanently stain the fabric even if the wax is all removed.

I cant add anymore to this than has been added with the absorbent paper, and the hot iron, except that after you get the crayon out, wash with some baking soda, and dont throw it in the dryer, line dry it. The baking soda will let you see for sure if you got all the crayon out. Once your positive that all of the crayon is out, then you will be able to use your dryer.

to remove cran from clothes you put a clean white cloth above it and a clean white cloth below it then run a hot iron over the white cloth above the cran that will melt the cran out of the clothes and on to the cloth then for the grease stain that the cran will leave just add some dish soap to the spot and just rinse it in the washer also works to remove wax

There is a product called Blue Wolf. I promise it will get it out. You can use it full strength on tough stains or dilute it for not so bad stains. We have used it for years. My husband cleans the motor in his truck and it shines like new money. We use it to clean our carpet, and to get stains out of clothing. WOW!!!!! You won't believe it till you see it.! You can only get it at Food City stores. If you do not have one in your home town, you can go to foodcity.com on-line. Please e-mail me back to let me know how surprised you were. I know the maker of this product very well. Have known him for years.
