Because youre drinking bad tasting water to begin with. The sensation of cold eclipses the bad taste which youre normally able to perceive with clarity at room temperature.

Drink some of that Fiji water at room temperature, tastes great.

Cold water wouldn't taste just as good in the cold freezing winter.

Warm water wouldn't taste as good as cold water in the hot summer months.

Your mouth has receptors for temperature and your brain interprets what is pleasurable and comfortable for that stimulus. Odor may also have a role. Try tasting orange juice while pinching your nose closed. Chlorinated water would taste better when chilled as the odor is reduced. How about boiled and cooled water? Boiling water would remove chlorine...

i think of the warm water tank (30 - 40 - 50 gals) basically placing there at 100ºF might enter into style... this is while you're,, asserting,, a pitcher of faucet water chilly and from the warm,, this is basically heat.. in any different case we don't be responsive to your known for this try.. water,, H2O,,, has no coloration,, style or scent

Cold water probably has more disolved gases in it which you taste .

warm water is just about the same temperature as the temperature of your tongue(if u didnt know...ur body maintains a temp of about 37degrees celcius or 97degrees faranit)

so...when the temperatures r about the same...the sensatory part of your tongue doesnt feel that much....
however...when ur drinknng cold water...the sensatory part of your tongue sends alarm bells ringing bout the presence of sumthng cold in your mouth...

I know. I can't drink it unless it is icy cold. I have no idea what makes it differ though.
