If you are talking stage performances, Damn Yankees is a fun musical.
For film musicals, I like the Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers movies, The Gay Divorcee and Top Hat.
Also the "Best Musical" is generally believed to be Singing in the Rain with Gene Kelly.

depends on what era. if you are into the ones in the 30's, 40' or 50's, then get singin in the rain or any Fred Astaire/ginger rogers films. I hear that high school musical is pretty good. I saw Hello Dolly and it is OK...you can't go wrong with Oklahoma or any Rogers and Hammerstein movie. it depends on what you like. my taste is diverse. I loved Rent and Phantom of Opera and Moulon (?) Rouge.
