If you were a female going to prison would you be better off in a male prison?
I herd that if a female would go to a all male prision she would be safer than going to a female prision because the prisioner's kill any rapists so they wouldn't do that sort of thing

As a former prison guard, I don't think so. Men in prison would fake illnesses to get to go to the infirmary where they would tell the female doctor or the nurses that thier balls hurt just so they could have her look at them. Trust me, a man who has been locked up without a woman for a long time is a very dangerous animal.. And I mean that in the nicest way possible. True, not all of them are like that, I knew a few who were very polite and would never even think of a thing, but the majority of prisoners are in for a reason, and they really did do it, no matter what they tell you.

ha ha! are you serious? I never heard that they "kill any rapists"
I've heard that they don't care for certain crimes, child molestation etc. but that does not mean that every single prisoner in there has a moral problem with raping women.
Add on the fact that they themselves haven't seen a woman in a long long long time...it would be 100 times more dangerous for a woman.

That doesn't mean rape wouldn't happen... i think a female will be safer in a female prison.

did you also hear that men don't rape other men in prison? i don't think there's a "better off" situation here, or at any time.
