It looks like the program is having a bit of a problem. I would suggest uninstalling and re-installing it. Then the poblem should disappear.

If not, run scandisk on your computer:

Open My Computer, right-click on Local Disk C
Select Tools
Click on Check Now under Error-Checking
Check both boxes, and click OK.
Click Yes and reboot to run the scan.

Good luck.

This is either of two things...

1. The program (Messenger) created the error that only occurs during runtime (usertime) not design time (no debug options). Solution: There's nothing you can do except email Yahoo and tell them the problem...

2. There is a problem with your system that conflicts with yahoo messenger.
Solution: Try uninstalling the program and reinstall it... If that don't work, then uninstall it, scan your PC for viruses and/or spywares and then reinstall the program.

It simply means that your Yahoo! messenger has told the computer that it is ending its program, but the computer knows that this is not the way it usually does. If it only happens once, disregard it, if it reoccurs uninstall and reinstall your Yahoo! messenger, then run anti spyware and antivirus soft ware, that ought to do it.

P.S. unoitsmeagain is sugessting that you use msconfig!!! thats DANGEROUS as is regedit, both can (if you don't ABSOLUTLY know what you are doing cause your computer to stop working for good) I don't use them, I let the pro's handle those things.

You have your system running with limited runtime. When you go over this alotted time, you get this error. To fix or deactivate the runtime, click on start, then run and type in msconfig then click ok. In the msconfig window, select the system.ini tab, click on the + next to drivers, and deselect the box next to ;msconfig timer=timer.drv. Click apply, ok, then restart your pc.

Does this happen all the time? and, of course, it's talking about a problem with Yahoo messenger.
check out their help pages and send them a help request.. if you do send them a request or message for help, tell them about your system, what you were doing when you got the error message and what you did to fix it for the time being

If it happens only once in your life then you can ignore it.
If it happens every day, do a virus scan.
You could also try to remove and reinstall Yahoo Messenger, but for sure you need to do the virus scan.

You might need to update your version of windows. try http://update.microsoft.com to see if you need any patches. You might also need to download visual basic runtime patches.
