Maybe you should try to focus on the conditions when you are watching the movies. Try alone, in a small forest cottage during the night. And leave your cellphone home. That should make the movies more scarier. If you watch a movie during the day, from your small computer screen, it won't be effective at all.

Well, maybe you need to watch a movie that is based on a true story. Unlike what many say, Texas Chainsaw Massacre was not based on a true story. Do not waste your time on Wolf Creek. It claims to be based on a true story, but after watching the movie, you can easily tell that the facts of the movie are primarily made up or are just guess work because there is no way that anybody knows what truly happened. And....the movie sucked really bad. The only good parts happened in the last 30 minutes of the movie. Watch a thriller by yourself in the dark. Allow yourself to get very involved in the movie. Allow your imagination to put yourself in the movie. Don't get distracted by friends or phones. Hopefully this way you can get some sort of thrills from the movie. If you don't, then maybe you just don't get scared. I don't. I have watched just about every scary movie out there. The only movie that has ever scared me was Jaws. I watched that when I was younger and it did make me scared of the water. But now that I am older, movies just don't have that effect on me. Good luck in your search. The new movie that comes out in a week or two is called Decent. It is by the creators of Saw and Hostel. It is supposed to be creepy. Maybe you should go check it out.

Obviously you're not into the whole 'blood and gore' thing, so you might try a psychological thriller-such as "Silence of the Lambs", "Seven","When a Stranger Calls", maybe even "The Omen" Then again, you may be a type that doesn't get scared during movies, in which case you should find another genre of films.

It depends on what really scares you. Have you seen House of 1000 Corpses? Hostel? None of those really scared me either. Keep trying though.

"The Haunting" with Liam Neeson in it,was really a good one. Use the surround sound and lower the bass on it,when you watch the movie.
