Spongebob attracts those with little or no imagination. If he is gay, then that says a lot for the decline in our culture. Mickey Mouse has been a household word for so long that people are getting too used to him. I have always liked Mickey Mouse and hope he never goes away.

I think it's because there are never classic Disney cartoons on anymore. Sponge Bob is on all the time. There are a couple of Disney Channels out there and they should be ashamed to even call themselves that. There is never a Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto or anything. Any time I look to see whats on it's just garbage. The Disney Channel used to be really good a long time ago. Don't get me wrong, I like Sponge Bob and I think it's a great show, but today's kids are really missing out on great Disney cartoon classics. The occasional Disney cartoon feature film they show just isn't enough to call themselves the "Disney Channel". Kids nowadays can't even compare the two when they have been denied the pleasure of watching classic Disney.

Actually technically Spongebob has his own "themepark" at Paramount's great America but that doesn't matter causeDISNEYLAND RULES!and I have stock in Disney and Mickey's the best:D

I like both, however I love Mickey Mouse as I believe most people in the world. We all grew up with him. he has a long history and love affair with the world, Spongebob is hilarious not gay, silly and cute. like the Barnie fad, Simpson's, Beavis and Butthead, Sesame Street, and Peanuts.
