Could I be pregnant?

My husband and I are trying to conceive. I ovulated on the 23rd of July. We had intercourse Friday7/21, Saturday7/22, Sunday 7/23. Today is July 31st....pregnany test indicated negative (may be too early to take test?????????????????) I have symptoms such as very swollen breast, milky discharge, the days after ovulation I was very tired.

When should I take another test? I suspect it is too early to detect a pregnancy at this time?


I charted my cycle as being 26 days long.

June 15, 2006 first day of period
July 11, 2006 first day of period

Did I get that right?

It's too soon for a test to be accurate-you're only 8 days past ovulation and a test won't be accurate til about 14 days past ovulation. Also, if you're having milky discharge-do you mean cervical mucus or from your breasts? Also, symptoms won't start until the pregnancy hormone hcg starts being secreeted--in a few more days if you are pregnant.

it too early for a test. the egg doen't impant unitl a week after ovulation and then you have to wait a week after that before results will show on a home test. some tests like first response allows you to take it 3-5 day before your missed period. wait unitl then. but don't forget it's possible to get a false negative test. if it comes out negative, wait a few days and try again. good luck!

With an early pg test you can start testing on the 2nd of August. 2 more days.

I think you have to wait a bit more ...
And I suggest you: Take it easy!
Relax!, you are controlled by very complex hormonal process then, it´s very common when you´re stressed, all the process change completely. You have to get controll or your anxiety. Regards and Good Luck!
