Why does Capricorn get such bad press?

Question

When I read atricles on astrology us Capricorns get told we are... moody, materialistic, mean, miserly, meddlesome. etc.

Yet i'm not like my sign at all, i'm a happy laid back, easy going single (Heh!) guy, why are Capricorns so done down everywhere??

oh and does rising sign come into this? as i am Aquarius rising.

Capricorns are the "sleepers" of the zodiac. People underestimate our sign, thinking that we are always moody, materialistic, etc. Caps are known for typically having very good sense of humor. We love to laugh, and have you noticed that people like to tell us everything about themselves?

Oh, and you being single? We are usually single for a while. But when we do get into relationships, they last a LONG time. We are charming, sympathetic, hard-working (we look at our relationships that way), and eternally devoted to our partners and loved ones. We are our lover's rock to lean on. We live for things being equal.

Rising sign DOES count. Mine is Libra, so I find beauty in things and people that others would not see intially.

I am a Capricorn, and not very many people like me because I have a dominant personality. If you ask me something, I will give you an honest answer, even if it hurts your feelings.
I think honesty is the only way to go in life and I like having everything in a certain way. Things have to be done my way or no way at all. If you do it your way I'll change it later or do it right then and there.
If I want something done, I want it done now.
At the same time I love to laugh, a sense of humor is really important. Having fun is the same.
As for being materialistic, I am very much so, and I can get very moody if you piss me off. I can also be mean and ruthless if you get on my bad side. So if that's what a Capricorn is, than that's what I am.

Never met a Capricorn I didn't like. Committed and hard working. A lot of other factors figure into your sign. You can go online and do a chart of your sign. It will figure where the planets were at the exact moment you were born. I have one, but I can't find it right now, so I don't have the website's name. I am sure others might know. If you believe in this stuff (my Sag hubby thinks astrology is witchcraft or something), I would just enjoy being a Cappy. Being a Pisces isn't easy.

My parents are both Capricorns and they ae not moody or materialistic or any of those things. The main negative trait that I have found amongst pretty much all Capricorns I know across the board is that they never admit they're wrong. I'm not saying you are like that but all the ones I know are.

My mother is a capricorn, she is vindictive, cruel, mournful and spiteful. My ex-boyfriend was the same, always wanted people for what he could get from them.
