Make-up for dead people?

I would love to work doin that, but what is the job title really called?

I knew a girl that did that. She was referred to as a Mortuary Beautician, but I don't think that's really technical. She was hired to just do makeup and thier hair. She didn't handle anything else regarding the body. Her big trick though was to ask for the actual makeup used by the deceased and for pictures of them wearing it. She also asked for photos of them with their hair done how they usually wear it. She built a reputation for making them look like they did when they were alive, which alot of people really appreciated and found comforting. ya I have thought about it myself, My goal is to become a make-up artist and to be a mortician i think be would ok!?? well a career that i could see myself doing, I guess you have to look pass the fact that they are dead, I don't think i could Handel the smell though. Look into if that's what you want to do. I thinks its one of those things where you have to actually be there to know if you can handle it.

usually this is in art in itself. not every dead person looks so great. remember you have people that have been in serious accidents and you have to deal with that. making there faces looking good. this is a specialized Field. I'm not sure what it is called though. funeral directors will tell you.

funeral director- it takes special makeup and its generally done by the same people who embalm the dearly departed
