If I were president I would stay out of other country's affairs and try to help this country. After 9/11 I would have built up the airlines security and be extremely strick. I guess I would have brought people that lived here from the middle-east in for questioning, not detaining them though, because I wouldn't have given up our freedom for anything--if they're Americans then they are free. I would have the people that trained those pilots fined and jailed for being so lax in their security. Let's see, I would have definitely put my attention on the problems of the US. What happened in the south may have happened but I definitely would have had a recovery team down there in a couple of hours not days later. I think Bush is ignoring the vital issues in the US, in trying to make a name for himself. ****** is the name that he is getting though.

Forgive all debts owed to America by other countries. Reverse stem cell research veto, make nice with Kim Jong Il, mandatory citizen microchip, mandatory birth control for M&F under the age of 18, allocate the funds to Brad Pitt et al. for constructing "green cities", build solar and wind generators across the nation, give car manufacturers huge insentives on production of electric/other powered vehicles, make John Kerry a super hero and elect him permanently into the EPA as The Big Kahuna, recruit gang bangers into an elite top secret task force to fight human slave trafficking, reverse laws on Marijuana so it can be used as a renewable resource for paper products, oil, food, cloth, medical and erosion control and televise the gatherings of the great minds in Bohemian Grove, Ca.
Wee!

sadly since president reagan (who suffered from alziemers while in power), america has increasingly been run by committee

the president is often just a 'mouthpiece' taking advice or increasingly reliant on his cabinet and advisors backstage imo

some of the people who were in presidents bush cabinet were closely connected to his fathers, so by having a 'family' concern as president organisations have found a way to have their interests protected above and beyond the traditional 8 year possible period for a president, simply missing 1 or 2 terms but guaranteeing a presence in the long run

hence we had gulf war under president bush to protect interests in oil, and now we have trouble in iraq and iran to protects interests in oil

so i sincerely doubt i would get to be president under same terms as anyone like say - president kennedy

if i were in order to deal with todays issues, i would try to find another way to offset my responsibility to oil interests in america so that i could come out against israel (as well as hezbollah) and avoid sanctions against Iran rather than standing idly by and allowing the situation to heat up with Iran and syria being blamed for supplying arms to hezbollah and israel region in general

Thomas Jefferson. in keeping with an announcement of conflict at america via the Barbary Coast Muslim caliphates, Thomas Jefferson despatched the united statesshape to the Mediterranean in 1803. The U.S. military became a tension to be reckoned with. In 1805, the united statesshape supported the landing of Marines “on the beaches of Tripoli” in an action that became hence immortalized interior the Marine Corps Hymn. The human beings and their allies destroyed the harbor fortress at Derna that served with the aid of fact the headquarters for the pirates. the 1st blue-water ocean-going conflict device of the recent us of a military became the Tripoli harbor from state-of-the-paintings fortifications (state-of-the-paintings for 18th century Muslims, this is) back to seventh century piles of rubble. america military actually freed the Mediterranean and the international from domination via militant Islam for almost 2 hundred years until September eleventh, 2001, whilst conservative, Wahhabi-form, radical Islam killed almost 3,000 human beings. .

Let me see.... First I would triple the Tarifs on all goods coming from China until they were willing to to equalize the trade deficit which would help normalize the dollar to the Yen . I would secure our borders and build a fence (much like the one in Israel) with motion and pressure sensors. I would mobilize the national guard to help with the borders until enough border agents could be trained. I would start the deportation process and allow any who would like to apply for citizenship to do so and wait in line like everyone else.

Now for the Muslim problem. I would close our country to ALL muslims and have the ones that are here cataloged and monitored. I would make speechs and sermons that preach destruction and death a hate crime. I would spend 20% of our nations funds to the development of alternative fuel sources until we had a suitable replacement for crude oil. After seeing that we are removing their power (oil) I'm sure that we would get allot more countries on board to help with the pesky terrorist problem. At least those that would like oil contracts that would keep them comfortable. I would seize all funds associated with terrorist activity and use it for public works in the U.S and abroad. Above all. I would hunt and kill terrorists and those that hid them and assisted them in any way without mercy.

Then, and only then, would they would truly come to fear the tiger that they had awoken.

Solve some of our pressing domestic problems before we start invading other soverign nations and telling them how to live. People in the US still struggle with unemployment, literacy, crime, abuse, lack of opportinuties, high taxes, illness (both physical and mental), the huge drug problem, smuggling, illegal immigration, etc.

I'd find ways to get Congress out of the back pockets of big corporations & special interest lobbyists.

I'd move towards better enforcement of existing laws before we start passing a ton more.

Repeal the Homeland Security act which violates citizens basic rights.

Wouldn't Lie to the American Public, stay out of foreign problems, let them deal with it we've already got our hands full with Iraq...The new Vietnam. Find alternative resources for fuel, spend our money at home not on foreign soil, stop illegally spying on the American people and for christs sake stop being a politician and start being a human being.

Try actually making decisions! I can't remember the last time we had a president that wasn't a partisan puppet!

Neither Bush nor Clinton ever made a decision on their own. They both do what their party tells them, that's how they stay in power.

I'd force every nation to become involved in the Space program. Then I would force all auto manufactures to build only high milage hybrids. Finally...I would push for more nucelear power plants and legalize buds.
