This isnt referring to making blood donations, but cash donations! You do not have to even make a donation but if we can get the message out then those who want to help even if it is a small amount, they can???

I did know that....thank you for posting the link. I tried to donate blood about 3 years ago & got turned away, because I use to be a d. user & because some of my tats were still "new," under 6 months old. But I donate money monthly. (:

You know if more people would open there hearts and stop and open there wallets too this world would be a much better place to live ..we all need to pull together and work some of these things out to help a few good people

I don't know, i know they called me the other day and said that platelet donations were very low. but why would we send blood over to ppl in other countries when there are Americans that need that blood first. my theory is take care of your country FIRST then worry about everyone else

Thanks, but I'll probably donate to an organization with less overhead. In the US, something like 25% of each dollar goes to "administrative" costs. There are many charities that have less than 3% overhead.
