Find out how much your rabbit weighs.
Rabbits USA 2006 Annual suggests:
2- to 4-pounds body weight: 1/4 cup pellets daily
4- to 7-pounds body weight: 1/2 cup pellets daily
7- to 10- pounds body weight: 1/2 to 3/4 cup pellets daily
11- to 15- pounds body weight: 3/4 to 1-cup pellets daily

Hay - Unlimited amounts, grass is preferred to alfalfa
Pellets - rationed with a measuring cup. Choose timothy based pellets if available. Avoid high-calories pellets.
Vegetables - choose fresh green vegetable, serve smaller amounts of carrots. Avoid starchy vegetables such as fresh or dried corn, peas and beans, potatoes.
Fruits - Fresh is better than dried. Keep portions tiny and feed no more than one piece daily. Use small pieces of apple and banana as treats and rewards for your rabbit.

So after all that, I suggest instead of giving him more pellets, give him more greens and be sure to give him hay. He's a young rabbit though so it's ok for him to eat as he's growing. It's good that you are paying close attention to his weight early though. This will prevent problems later on.

If you are worried you can see a vet for a more precise evaluation and more ideas.
Good luck

Does he have hay at all times? Rabbits and guinea pigs need to have hay at all times. It is their primary foodstuff along side the pellets. Their guts are structured to eat a lot of low calorie food throughout the day. If bunny is eating pellets all the time, he may gain too much weight (he is just following his instinct by eating more - but what he needs to be eating is hay - a low calorie fiber source. The correct hay to give an adult rabbit is Timothy Hay, not alfalfa. Alfalfa contains too many calories.

EDIT about hay blocks.

Yes, you can get the hay blocks, if your bunny will eat them. My pigs wouldn't - they would only eat loose hay. I would think the blocks would get kind of expensive over time, too, but I am not sure.

A great place to order hay is www.oxbowhay.com
beautiful quality hay.

*TIFFANY * may be a breeder, but according the the House Rabbit Society, after the age of 1 year Alfalfa should only be fed as an occasional treat. This is also true in the case of guinea pigs.

No. Your rabbit will eat because it's bored. He should have an unlimited supply of timothy hay available. Go to the House Rabbit Society website and there are articles on how much he should weigh and how much to feed. Some buns are pigs in disguise. Loose timothy hay is best but if you're allergic, like me, you can get cubes. You can buy the hay at most pet stores. The cubes are lower in fiber. Make sure the cubes don't have additives like molasses.

Since your rabbit is young having a lot of food is good, as your rabbit gets older you need to make sure that he isn't over eating, and geting fat. Once he is a few months old you should cut back on the pellets. There should always be hay available for your bunny, my rabbit likes the lose hay, and he will also need fresh veggies every day, you can get a list of good veggies at rabbit.org.

Blocks of timothy hay are fine. It's OK for him to eat a lot since he's growing, but when he's older you'll need to restrict his food intake so he doesn't become fat. He'll need about 1/2 cup for each 4 pounds of body weight. You can feed this all at one time, or space it out through the day.

You should only give him access to food all day long if he is a baby or nursing or pregnant which I doubt he is. You are over feeding him & it will cause health problems.

Kira is wrong, alfalfa does not contain too many calories, it contains a lot of protein and shouldnt be given if your allready feeding a alfalfa based pellet. They can eat all the hay they want but since you said bowl I am assuming you mean pellets.

I always feed my rabbits as much as they want to eat, but try to give them lots of toys and lots of out of cage time everyday so they get lots of exercise and are not eating from boredom. All of my bunnies are very muscular and have no weight problems. I can't feed them timothy hay as I have developed allergies, but I give them lots of fresh greens and vegetables. Veggies are low in calories and high in interest. Rabbits need toys such as cardboard boxes, cardboard tubes, wooden blocks, and rope dog toys to keep their minds and bodies active.

Make sure that you have a balanced diet for your pet.
Always have Fresh water and food in his cage, no matter how much he/she eats, ALWAYS refill unless directed by a vet otherwise. Give your rabit fresh fruits or veggies every day to ensure proper vitamins. Also, grab a book on rabbits, you can learn alot!

Fox urine works. additionally, record this to the police: your neighbor has no top to be doing this. in keeping with possibility you need to sneak in at night and get the bunnies, and placed like a leaf in there. Lol.
