I mean, like all you South Africans have disappeared off here. Anywho, for my question...what is the best South African slang you've ever heard? Mine, along with lots more, would have to be be when we say 'sorry'. We're the only people to use 'sorry' as 'excuse me'!

Yo Reggae Lover...whazzzap?

I like to use a lot of slang in messenger and in e-mails. I've got friends from America, Canada and China and all over. I've taught them some and they use it all the time when they talk to me either by e-mail or messenger.

The ones I, and my array of foreign friends, love the most are:
cherry = girl
lekka = nice
aikona = no
dop = drink
babbie = hung over

Have you ever heard an American try to say any one of these words? It's hilarious. It goes something like "baby less" for babbelaas.

Ja, the good old 'sorry' Friend from the UK are staying with us at the moment and they can't figure out why we are always saying 'sorry' and 'shame'.
My favourite words are 'nca' 'bru' 'robot' 'lekker' and 'howzit'

"howzit my bru?" "ek is nca!" "dis lekker"
