I just bought a new white dress. It is a little too big and I want to shrink it. What is the best way to do this?

Wash with hot water and dry on high however if you are trying to shrink a dress be wise to remember by doing this you run the chance of shrinking to small it may fit you in width but the length may be more like a shirt then a dress. If it's on of your fave dress bring it in to a seamstress.

Can you take it back and exchange it?....If not wash in very hot water and dry in very hot dryer. If that don't work take it to an seamstress and have it taken up. Maybe take it to the seamstress first before washing to see what they think about it.

if u can't return or exchange it, take it to a seamstress and have your adjustments made.
shrinking it with a hot water wash/high temp dry will work as long as it is not 100% PRESHRUNK cotton. if it is, you have to get it to a seamstress.
