I noticed that I was cramping days before my cycle began. I started to spot 2 days ago, then it abruptly stopped. I am still cramping. What is going on?

i doubt there are that many doctors on this site, use your brain and go and see a real doctor, for health issues regarding bleeding, don't you think it is a bit silly relying on complete strangers advice??? i do.

I tend to do that... I've always had a very irregular cycle. I cramp for about a week, two weeks before my period actually arrives. Then I bleed for a day or two, very heavily, and then it seems to stop for an entire day, then I start to cramp again (milder) and I get a couple days of very light flow. In fact, once I actually start to bleed, it seems as if cramping is actually a signal that more blood is coming. The really bad cramps=lots of it (sorry to be disgusting). But if you're really worried, go see your gyno.

Take a pregnancy test...Are you on birth control? That can cause the spotting if you miss a pill..
