Constantly improved. True love is something that grows over time, however you must always be willing to nurture it. Certain parts of love should be effortless, but it is unrealistic to think that everything automatically works out without putting in effort.

Wow.. Good Answer John G! It gave me goosebumps...even tho I disagree.
I think love is always there, but a relationship (not love) constantly needs to be worked on. You can still love someone and be out of a relationship with them (like a divorced couple). So the answer is love does not always need work, but the relationshp constantly needs to be nurtured.

Love takes time and patience. The conditions surrounding love need tending. We have to constantly work on improving communication, patience, trust, etc. Without these, the love would not have room to grow. It's like a sand castle (as cheesy as this is going to be!). We have to keep piling more sand, packing it down, sheltering it from the waves. We need to grow as individuals as well as a couple for our love to strengthen.

Relationships require work because true love is an ideal thing (perfect) and we are not perfect, so inherently it is a lot of work and we can only strive for perfection. We often don't know what true love is and are missing the point. Look to the author of love for the definition.

you shouldn't force yourself to fall in love if that's what you mean by effortlessly. it's just happens and you don't know untill someone tells you. well at least for me. lol. but yes i relationship should be worked on and constantly improved.

Love just does not happen you have to put some effort in to make it work. even with the person of your dreams you still have to work at it in order for you to be happily in love.

for some, baby girl. it's so easy. and some, they really really have to work on it. for the fortunate ones, once they have the mutual understanding with compromises and muturity, love will run smoothly. and those who not willing to give in their ideal world, then suffering they will have.
