i was in the hospital for kidney infection soo the gave me an iv to pump fluid thou my system...well the iv made my vein swell up my arm it sorta hurts when u touch it im scared it might be a blood clot! YES I KNO I NEED TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL! and i will but i what anothers opinion before i go!! please help me i am scared to death that the iv caused it to clot! U think it might be a blood clot?

chill. it may just be a allergic reaction to the sodium chloride that they put in your body ( the clear stuff in the iv bag) I do not think that is a blood clot. um when you go to the dr just ask him to look at it and it also may be from the taking it out or putting it in but then again if they did not put it in correctly then it probably burns from that as well do not touch it scratch it or anything like that because it will make it worse but take the advice don't mess with it and put ice on it to reduce the swelling.

no relax some people out there u guys are doff listen you might of had an alergic reaction just go see a doctor soon and ask him to check it out if it was a blood clot you would know about it allready cheers

I don't think it's a blood clot. But you certainy should get it checked out. It's probably that either the spot where the iv was inserted is irritated, or you are alergic to something that was inserted.

i dont think its a blood colt, but you do need to see a doctor about it, it could be a few different things i guess

go to doctor or hospital asap, if you wait to long to read answers on here you might end up dead
