See a chiropractor for an adjustment - it really helps.
Good luck!

Ok. I had a pinched nerve for over 2 weeks it seemed like 2 months. What I finally was told to do (and it worked) was strech your spine by doing the following.

Gently lay your heads entire weight down onto your chest. Chin to your chest. This stretches the neck and the pinched nerve. Slowly inch by inch let your hands hang down and slowly bend each vertabrae until you are completly scrunched over. Hanging your arms. Then hold it there for about 1 minute. Then slowly begin to bring your back up one vertabrae at a time until completely erect. Twice a day for about 3 days and it will totally go away.

It would be quite important to find out why this condition came about... is suggestive of a structural problem that was remaining under the surface and sub-acute, but some stress factor, whether emotional, physical or chemical has brought the condition to the acute state, with muscle tightening of one side of the neck. Those muscles do fasten to bones and they will move in the direction of the muscles pull..

Directing your thinking to the causation and then having that treated, would be the advisable direction to follow.

Chiropractors are well equipped to deal with the presenting problem, not relying on meds to correct a structural problem. Meds will only ease the symptoms.
