Try putting the laptop RIGHT next to a TV, while starting sound recorder on the laptop (Start>programs>accessories>entertainment>sound recorder), press record, turn the TV up and see if the green line jumps up when the TV gets louder. If the readout stops instantly when you mute/turn off the TV, then it's a matter of finding the hole. It will usually be at the top of the monitor if it exists, and might be labelled with a symbol looking like a microphone or a vertical line with an arc above it
(-
Like that, except turn it so the ( faces up. Barring that, find a hole with a symbol like the above two; if you find the hole, just go to some electronics store and buy a mic for maybe ten bucks, and plug it in that hole.

nicely, that must be because of many motives. in step with probability the microphone would desire to be bodily became on, or in step with probability you would be able to desire to place in a driving force of varieties. or in step with probability you do not have a microphone in any respect, and your computing device only has recording utility for some reason. attempt pressing Ctrl + PrtScn to repeat the reveal screen image on your clipboard. Then paste that throughout the time of Paint or something and keep it and post it on Photobucket or something. That'd make it much less complicated for human beings to work out what application it is and what's certainly happening.

OMG, if it has one, you should be able to see it, for crying out loud!?!?
Anyway, like the other guy said, you can see it in the Device manager; if you physically can't see it; which is very unlikely.
You'll need to add a plug in headset with mic; if you want to hear your friend speak too; because your next question just might be, "Does my laptop have inbuilt speakers? Because I want to conference with my Friends!"
ROTFLMAO!!!

It's possible. You'll have to go buy a mic, unless you look at your notebook stats on the internet.
