fashion spanking. Teams making the playoffs for the first time in a while tend not to do well in the post season. How much playoff experience do they have? I'm sure not much. So Tiger fans, enjoy the regular season ride, cause it is one series and done in the playoffs for you guys (Mark my word). Like to know what you guys think?

I'm not being rude, I just like to stare up arguments and controversy. Makes the baseball section FUN.

the tigers will probably make it to the ALCS because they have a all round good team(no superstars) and they dont need Soriano.
No one can touch their pitching including the Z train(Joel Zumaya)
The Tigers have the best record because they play well as a team and the have a pretty good pitching rotation. ALCS Tigers and Red Sox.

I like the Tigers to win it all, but like the rest of America, I really hate the Yankees and the Red Sox and all of their smug fans. If the Tigers don't win it all, I hope anyone except New York or Boston wins. The great thing is that it's unlikely for both of them to reach the playoffs, much less win the World Series. Mark my words; it's somebody else's year this year.

Teams making the playoffs for the first time in a while tend not to do well in the post season...

Like the White Sox last year, who hadn't been in the playoffs since 2000?

You know, I was reading your question and found my self getting up set, I live near Detroit so automatically I "should" take offense to your comments. But then I was thinking, "wait a minute, I don't even watch baseball, so why do I care about this?" So what do I think? I think you have more of a right to make those kinds of statements than I do to get angry at you for making them. So GO YANKEES or RED SOX, whoever you like!

God, purple Sox forever. I stay in Mass. and that i'm a die-perplexing purple Sox fan and Yankees-hater, have been thinking the actuality that i became 9 (i'm sixteen now.) i'm completely happy to verify there could be better thumbs-up for human beings who suggested crimson Sox!!!!!!

You are so wrong. Last season: White Sox. They hadn't made the Post-Season in a while because they absolutely sucked seasons before. Kinda like the Tigers now. So pull your head out of your butt and get a grip!

Florida Marlins.

The ULTIMATE counterpoint.

Made the playoffs twice, 6 years apart.

Results - two rings.

edit - The Yankees still have to MAKE the playoffs as of now.

One question... Do you remember the White Sox from last year? They had no experience , they swept the bo sox and got lucky againist the angels, and swept the Astros. Tigers will end up playing the crappy al west team in the first round, so we will see how they do in the ALCS

To the guy who said the Mets are going all the way... you mean like they did in 2000? All the way to the series to get spanked by their daddies, the Yankees?

Detroit's a first-round bust waiting to happen, just like Oakland in the late 90's and early 2000's.
