I have used several FM transmitters, and I've found them to be pretty poor in most cases. If you are in an area with many radio stations that are close together, you will have difficulty tuning to a clear unused channel. I agree with the earlier poster that a radio with an aux input is far superior, after that an rf modulator is a good choice.

That said, the best FM transmitter I've used is the iRiver. It can be set to any frequency.

I don't have a specific recommendation, but I was just at Apple's webpage (the store) and they have a number of transmitters and all have specs (like which settings are available, and which iPods the transmitter supports) and user reviews. I'd go there.

I have a coby fm transmitter that works with any audio device with a headphone jack, and it works pretty well, it was only 15 bucks. but, the ones that are sold for the ipod exclusively, are much more expensive, but they work about the same.

Try a belken transmitter, my friend has it and likes it, and another one of my friends really likes the Itrip, so either one of those would probably work just fine for you.
