What amazes me is that everyone here still seems to things that wining about him is going to make things better. I don't agree with somethings he has done but there is nothing I can do about that. What I want to ask everyone is "could you do better". I dought anyone here would want that job. No matter what you do, people will hate you and someone will always be mad. When clinton was in office a good majority of people didn't like him either, but after he was gone we realized that maybe things weren't so bad. I don't know why people judge every decision without know why the decision was made. All we hear is what is said on the news and I am sure there a lot of things that we don't know and probly don't want to know. We as a people just have to accept the fact that he has done what he thought was best for this country. That is all any of us could do. There are a lot of people who think that they could do better but how can anyone of us say anythink with out all the fact, and we will never have all the fact, only what limited info we get from the news. I don't agree with everything he has done but I just have to assume that there is some information that I don't know that made our government make that decision because we have to beleive that or government has the countries best intrest in mind and if we as a people don't beleive that then the US is destine to fall from power.

Using your own words, you're right. It's not about balls, it's about brains. People support the President for many reasons, his assertiveness only being one of them. It's also because he has the right line of thinking in how to deal with terrorism. Clinton used the courts - and failed to protect and defend this country. Bush has used the military - and is succeeding in defeating terror cells all over the world.

It's not all about terrorism though, and the President has made some mistakes - mostly in securing the border, medicare, illegal alien amnesty. I don't follow him blindly, I know he has his failings. But, he was worlds better than anything howard scream or the DNC could come up with 6 years go, or now...

And, in the middle of a war, you're going to try to balance the budget? lol... whatever. There never was a surplus either. Remember the first surplus was supposed to "appear" in 2002 or 2004... that obviously never happened. The economy cooled off and went sour after the 9/11 attacks.... Of course, the leftist blame Bush for that because 9/11 was an inside job afterall... :)

The question should be, with all of his successes why do 61%
think he is not a good president. Compared to past presidents Clinton - the only thing I did was a intern while in White House, Carter - I waited till out of office to get a voice & try to do good, Johnson - he speaks for himself & even Watergate can not negate the opening of China by Nixon. What has President Bush done that compared to these presidents, OH YEAH! he did something he thought was right rather than nothing at all!

I taint libel: One out of 3 - not bad. I am wealthy by US medium standards, I am not homophobic - I have lots of gay friends - I can hate the sin & love the sinner & they know it, I have several close relatives
in Iraq & Afghanistan. My son is a LT & US Ranger - special ops is not the safest of military but I believe in freedom not only for USA.

Jackson: We have paid for that "balanced budget" since it was signed. Clinton knew it would only work for a year - 2 at most. Politics at its best. Liberalism at it's best too!

i don't think he was a bad president, he has some balls unlike Clinton who let all these problems get so big in the first place, i am not saying Clinton was a bad president, he just dint have the balls for military actions. Bush recognized a problem and took it out, that's what powerful countries should do. we have the military power, we have the economic power, why are we running away from our enemies and letting them make a p ussy out of us. we know we are right in terms of believe and society, we know those nations are always a threat to our survival, why let them grow and screw the world up for their own stupid interest. they would take everything from the world and give nothing back. we improve science, they improve religious believes. we fight for human rights, they fight to take human freedom away, we have equal rights between woman and man, they do the opposite.
at the end of the day, its all about the interest of America and its people, we don't want to be bombed again in our homes, we take the fight to their ground.

The problem is apathy, and too many people just not caring about what happens to them or their descendants. People don't bother to lift their eyes and find out what's reallying going on. They just listen to the propaganda on mass media outlets and drink the Kool-Aid.

For example, it's amazing to me how many people still think the warrantless wiretap program is legal, just because our Commander-in-Sheik claims it is, without ever having read the laws in question. They just believe what they're told, and don't research it themselves to form their own opinion.

Too many people think that it's good enough if Bush is a strong leader. They just don't seem to care over what cliff he seems to be leading everyone.

We've gone from being a nation of sheep to a nation of lemmings.

There's a certin segment of the population that are impervious to the facts, and refuse to admit they are wrong. Wait till their kids get the bill for the THREE TRILLION in national debt Shrub has rung up in his first 6 years.

Actually, Mulligan, Clinton and the Demcratic Congress managed to come up with balanced budgets and a budget surplus for your hero to squander.

No ! He is considered a good christian and he is sincere in his beliefs and work. MAYBE!!! I would rather leave religion out of the mix. We are defined by what we do, thus I tend to define Bush by what he has done. Some good and some questionable.
