Okay so I want to hang out with this boy. I don't know how to tell my dad without lying. If i say, ' can you take me to this boys house, (im 14 so cant drive) i want to hang out with him ' he probably won't let me cuz he will think we would do 'stuff'. How can I hang out with boys without my dad questioning me and being too overprotective???

straight up talk to your Dad. He is probably scared that you are going to be taken advantage of. Let him know that you just want to hang out with this guy and that you know not to get "serious" and that he raised you well and you know what to do to keep your fathers trust. Also introduce them to each other, after he sees him in person and they speak he may not feel so threatened. You fear the unknown. If your Father meets him the fear of another man in your life, besides him, will most likely subside. The best thing to do is be upfront with your Dad this will show maturity. If you go behind his back you will give him a reason not to trust you and then he will definitely think inappropriate behavior is going on because you were hiding something from him. And he will find out if you sneak!

I would see if there is anyway the boy can hang out at your house a few times first then maybe your dad will see he doesn't need to be overprotective and he will let you go to his house.

Well, first its good to have a very overprotective dad. It shows that he cares a LOT about u and doesnt want anythin bad to hapen to u. And second, tell him u won't do anythin bad at that boy's house. Tell him that if u do, ull be grounded. And try not too care that much about u, ur 14!

If and when u ever have children, you'll know the answer. You're much too young to even have any idea of what u think u want.

Give your dad a chance--ask him. If he says no, why not have the boy come over to your house while your dad is there so they can meet? Your dad just wants to protect you from situations you may not be ready to handle yet. He loves you...consider yourself lucky!

Be glad you have an overprotective dad.
Why not invite the boy over to your place? Make sure your dad's there. Tell your dad you're glad he cares about you, but that he can trust you.
Then, of course, prove that you're worthy of that trust.

I have an overprotective dad too n he's real strict wen it comes 2 boys. but i,m a junior in hs so now he realizes dat boys r gonna com n da picture n i,m gonna date so now he's not too protective he kinda loosen up n gave me my space n time 2 grow up which is good.
But girl u're 14 n u're still young so yea yo dad gon b like dat. cuz its so much krazy stuff goin on 2day tennagers getin rape n killed all type of krazy n weird sh** so yo dad feel like by him bein yo father he have 2 protect n safe u from dat. n being dat u r 14 he too feels dat u're too young 2 b datin but its ok 2 have boys whom u talk 2 on da phone as friends though n have them comin ovea 2 da house n chill. but it takes time but yo father will com around. good luck girl!!!!!!!!
