Guitar TAB is a notation that allows guitar players to "read music" without having to know standard musical notation. There are six lines in the "staff," each representing a string. Numbers on each line represnt the fret on the respective string.
Many times, TAB is accompanied by standard notation. The main advantage here is that you can see the timing, as TAB notation doesn't represent half notes and quarter notes, etc.
There are tons of TAB sites on the internet, with many of them flooding your browser with advertisements. Much is good, while there is a decent amount of incorrect TAB on the internet as well.

Tab is short for tableture. It is a method of music notation for guitar where the horizontal lines represent the guitar strings and the numbers on the lines represent the fret to be played. Most notation of this type lack any notation of note duration making it only use-able only with music you are familiar with.
As for the F7, play with your finger close to the fret and keep your wrist straight.

Guitar tab is a way of reading music for guitar, it's quicker for most people. I read music, but tab is much faster for me with guitar and bass. It also tells you other things like bends, tremolo, and other techniques. Each line represents the relative string, the number is the fret. It's pretty easy to learn, buy yourself a nice book, don't rely on Internet tab. Internet tab is often wrong or in the wrong key. As for your fingers, callus will build the longer you play. Just keep at it. Once you learn your barre cords, and really work with them, your changes will be faster and smoother.
Contrary to what a lot of people say on here, it is not a lazy way to read music, or for people who don't know how to read music. And I can't stress enough, use a book, not internet tab.

A) Your grammar is terrible.
B) Guitar tabs are simply a lazy way to "read music". They are represented by a virtual fretboard with numbers written on it to tell you which fret to press. They usually have your high e string at the top and your low e string at the bottom. For example, here's that F7 chord you were having so much trouble with tabbed out:
e----1----
B---1-----
G---2----
D---1----
A---3----
E---1---

Tablature...It is a different way of writing music for guitar. Like on Guitartabs.com. It is written on 6 lines...Each line represents a string. The top line represents the E string then A D G B E, decending. The numbers you see represent the frets on the guitar. 1 is the first fret (furthest from the base of the guitar)...Other symbols represent different things, mute, bend, slight bend, harmonics, etc. Basically a simpler way of reading and writing than sheet music is.

Guitar Tab---tablature is a form of reading music for guitar. The definition is: A system of notation using letters, symbols, or other visual cues instead of standard notation to indicate how a musical piece is to be played. For example, guitar or banjo tablature typically consists of a diagram of the strings with finger positions indicated by numerals corresponding to the appropriate frets.
F7 chord can be played various ways but it ain't easy---keep practicing and yes, your fingers will get hard over a period of time.

Tab is where the strings are broken down to six lines like in regular sheet music but each line represents a string and each number represents a fret, for example (Come As You Are by Nirvana):
----------------------------------
----------------------------------
----------------------------------
----------------------------------
------------0---- 0--------------
0-0-1-2------2-----2--2--1--0
