I am wearing a polo-type shirt that was company issued and there are three buttons. The bottom button won't stay buttoned - the button hole is probably too big.

I need a "home remedy" to fix this that doesn't involve sewing. The only thing I can think of is to wrap some thread around the button to make it "bigger". But I am currently at work and need your creative solutions!

All serious answers are appreciated!

Hi there.
Go to wal-mart.
Buy some button's that look like what's on your shirt now but biger and put them on there,ok.
That will take care of the problem right away.
Good luck.
Sharon.

Seriously, the best thing would be to take a lunch break, and go get an 'emergency sewing kit' from a nearby pharmacy, and reduce the button hole size.

Failing that, get some scotch tape, and from the INSIDE of your shirt, tape part of the button hole closed (after you've buttoned the shirt, of course). This will hold it until you can get the hole sewn to a smaller size.

Well here goes a simple solution: put off the shirt and wear it in reverse (the buttons will go behind then). Nobody on earth will understand if the button is out or in on the other side !!!

get bigger buttons. throw away the present buttons. and sew new bigger buttons. or just button up the three buttons and sew the buttons to the button hole. if too lazy than approach your company to exchange for new polo shirt

If you are at work try slipping a paper clip over the button.
