I have always been in sales, customer service, marketing, admin, sucessfully owning my own business for 35 years. I'd like temp, contract, flex, part time. I know all aspects of business. Travel ok. I am also a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. Where can I look for something worthwhile to do but low stress.

Try a temp agency or your local Workforce Commission (Employment office, whatever they call it where you live). Just because you're retired, it doesn't mean you can't apply for a job. Maybe you could find a part time retail position or something in your last field of work. You might also find something related to you military background...volunteer at a Veterans Hospital or even get a part time job at one.

I am 65 and retired ten years ago after 30 years in the UK police service. I had no intention of working again but after a year I felt undisciplined, lethargic and wasted. I was playing golf and fishing whenever I fancied it but something was missing. I became a golf course Marshall/Starter. Low stress - guaranteed. Low wage - guaranteed. Total enjoyment - guaranteed. Outdoor life - guaranteed. The fact that you will totally enjoy it - guaranteed. Financially sound - guaranteed if you were wise in the past. Go for it, you will love it.......................

Contact the authority in your town, get into some volunteer work. Depending upon the area, they may have some kind of low stress job that may attract your intrest, not to mention give you and others a deep feeling of gratitude.

Depending on where you are there are a lot of things you could do. Given the experience that you have you would probably make a very good independant consultant.

If you are just looking for low presssure work, I recommend research data collection centers. You can find them at www.mra.org

If you are in Singapore, I can arrange something to do with cleaning and taking care of little children... but you MUST NOT be a pedophile... of course... Will also reject you if your name is Michael Jackson.
