She is only 1 month old and she has bumps on her face. I think they are "milk bumps" but I am not sure. They are very small on the cheeks mainly. Has anyone else seen this and How can I get rid of them

the pimples you describe are characteristic of what is commonly referred to as newborn acne.

These bumps are thought to be caused by the immaturity and subsequent clogging of the sebaceous (oil secreting) glands in the pores. These transiently get clogged and then go away. They do not cause any permanent problems for infant and usually go away by the third or fourth month of life.

The little bumps will disapperar over the next couple of months. Babies skin goes through a lot of changes, due to hormones, and this is normal.

It is generally called here in the U.S. "baby acne" it is very normal. Both of my sons had it and they are fine. However there was nothing to be done....the Doctor gave me no ointment to treat this. It goes away on its own. Ask your child's doctor and get a professional opinion. It is after all the best decision to make for your child.

These sound like newborn/infant acne. They are harmless, if so, and should go away on their own. If they last several weeks or grow larger, warm to the touch, look inflamed or anything that could me infection, definitely talk to your pediatrician. Otherwise, just wait them out. Two of mine had these at some point before 4 months of age.

They are very common I forget what they are called but it will take about 2-3 weeks to go away. Nothing you can do and don't squeeze them.

All 4 of my babies had them and they are harmless. Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do. Just keep her face clean and dry. They'll go away as she gets older.
