is there a programme i can use to downlod my yahoo emails?

similar to outlook which is capable of downloading hotmail and others

Yahoo doesn't offer free POP or IMAP email access. However, you can download a program called YPOPs! which will allow you to use any e-mail client such as Outlook to access your Yahoo inbox. You can find the program and instructions on how to use it at http://www.ypopsemail.com/.

You can download Thunderbird from http://www.mozilla.com/ (same people who make FireFox). Yahoo has instructions on how to set it up to download emails in their help section. You should be able to get hotmail as well (I also get my gmail through Thunderbird).
