After 4 trips to all the parks in the Orlando/Tampa area, I would have to say that if you are looking for thrill rides...Busch Gardens is your place! It's the only one where you can ride multiple coasters that will rock your world - (the vertical drop coaster is unreal) and then be thrilled by coming face to face with a hippo or gorilla or lion through 6 inch glass! My husband and I have been alone and with kids and recommend both. It's the only park we've found with coaster that goes upside down that our 5 year old daughter (who is quite short) was able to ride - it made her day! Kumba and Montu are probably my favorite coasters but there is TONS to see and do for people of all ages and we definitely can spend at least 2 days there if you want to see everything. Best animal exhibits we've ever seen - far outdoes Disney in my opinion because you feel like you are almost in the setting with the animals. Don't know your age but my parents got a BIG discount for being AARP members. Also can ask for AAA discount and more. We got multi-park passes to Universal, Islands of Adventure, Sea World and Busch Gardens that allowed us to hop between those parks and only pay parking one time per day. It was great! Have fun.

If you want trill rides then Busch Gardens is the place for you. With Python, Scorpion, Kumba, Montu, Gwazi, and the newest coaster to the bunch, the breath-taking, exhilarating SheiKra, and those are just the roller coasters. They also have a wonderful scenic trail around the park to see different animals, if you just want a break from all the excitement. If you and your husband like beer then they have a great Beer School that teaches you everything from the brewing process too how to tell if the beer is old after the class you'll get a certificate saying you passed Beer School. It's a great little thing that is only about 30minutes or so, found in the Hospitality House. Your kids can join if they like but they won't be able to taste test any beer, it's still interesting though (I'm only 19 and my fiance is 22, so I couldn't). By the end of the year they are shutting down Beer School so this might be a once in a life time opportunity...
I have been to BG thousands of times and I'm still not sick of it, I never will be either. I can't get enough of the thrill rides there, and everytime I go on them my stomach still gets in knots from the excitement.
If you decide to go hope you enjoy and love it as much as I do!

Since your family loves roller coasters, Busch Gardens would be an awesome choice. I went a long time ago, in 1997, and even then there was plenty of roller coasters. They're good ones, too. And since then there's been more added. I've done plenty of research on the web site and it looks even more fun now. Especially with the new roller coaster, Sheikra. It looks so scary. Besides all that, I still enjoyed all the other attractions. There's an African safari ride, like at Disney World, and there's an Egyptian part with pyramid tombs. It's really cool. And then there's a section with all kinds of other rides, and there's also performances/stage shows.

Personally, I think it's way cool than Universal Studios. Have fun!

And the rides ARE thrilling. When I went, the Kumba and the Montu were the scariest, most thrilling rides, in my opinion.

I had a ball at Bush Gardens. The animals plus roller coasters is awesome. You can view the Zebra's for a while then get on the only dive coaster in the country later. Its a huge park. took me 2 days to do everything and I move quick.
But if you prefer not to go there I would suggest Universal Studios. They have something for everyone. One park roller coasters, one park theme attractions, plus city walk.
I have tickets for $67.10 for 1 day and I have a 5 day park hopper for $107.99
I also have Bush Gardens and Disney tickets

YES!

Definatly, if you have kids at that age group they will LOVE IT!!!

I went on the sheirkrah, and it was the scariest time ive ever had to endure in my life! But there are other rollercoasters on there that are awsome aswell.

Its not like disney, where its mostly shows and little crappy rides. This park is ALL rollercoasters.

I really would reccomend it.

I woulden't go Disney's Animal Kingdom is the same thing with much more and a magical experience. Also disney's Animal kingdom has much better thrill rides, such as Expidition Everest.
