I do get a little annoyed when someone does this.
They imply that I am not an individual. Instead, I fit some template in their minds, so I am just a statistic.
Usually I get just annoyed enough to completely ignore the boob.

Strangers? How about family? How about family that will quote the good book, and tell you what a sinner you are, when they are more guilty that you in the same offense. How bout family that will reply "You don't really want that" when you are talking of a dream or something that you would love to do?!"
Maybe it would get better, if folks ASKED MORE QUESTIONS, and made LESS statements!

Being on the net talking to people, they get brave and feel macho i guess since they do not have to face you.. Everyone seems to lie on the net and pretend to be something they are not.. Like a genius, yeah right. People can be stupid especially the ones you dont know. If you ever think your not normal--- meet new people.

very much...though the best reaction to ppl rattling off things they "know" about us(supposedly)..is to just remain quiet and give them a serene smile in return!
i've met these ppl and the only conclusion i can make out of their fake "i can see through you" attitude,is that they just suffer from the uncontrolable need to try and be intimidating to others and to be looked at as smone to be "respected" and "honoured"...and most of the time....ok,just erase that...ALL of the time...they just fail and end up making fools out of themselves!
personally,i actually enjoy scandalising these ppl.....by doing smthing exactly opposite of what they think me to be like(smthing the crazy-half of me wud do)....and they end up looking confused and smtimes even embarassed! ...though the more thick-skinned ones wud just nod their heads philosophically and try to cover up their errors by saying "oh...i knew she was like that!"
:-D

Yes, it IS kind of annoying. But I choose to ignore them. They obviously don't really know me, and it only shows their ignorance.

Not unless they're in my face about it. I tend to let people keep their illusions unless said illusions interfere in my life in some way.

Yes it does. It means they are talking about personal things when they should just keep quiet.
