You have to give your bank details so that they can pay you if something sells. However, are you sure it is a pin number they are asking for and not a password for the site? Ebay would never ask for a bank pin, they dont need it. Double check what you are seeing as Ebay is a pretty safe place to sell.

You are confusing your bank's routing number and your account number with your PIN number. When it comes to your banking information, they ask for your bank's routing number and your account number because they will transfer funds to cover the monthly cost of your listings. The NEVER ask for your bank account PIN number, as the only reason you have PIN code is to withdraw money from an ATM or direct debit. They don't operate that way.
Additionally, Ebay asks for your credit card information as a means to verify that you are over 18.
They also require a password on your ebay account, and this is for your protection so nobody else can access your account.
Hope this helps

Well, how are you going to receive the money if you don't give the bank account to transfer the money to? You don't expect you'll just get a cheque on the mail?

eBay does not ask for pin number or even password of your personal information. I would make sure that you are, in fact, using eBay. Reputable companies will NEVER ask you for your password or pin information.

Ebay is a really secure site. You'd be fine putting your bank details into their system.

THEY NEVER ASK ABOUT PIN CODES.
There are many bogus ebay sites, if you have received mail to this website , it will be a scam.
