Guess Richard wasn't paying attention over the weekend when the Twins were lucky to get a win against Detroit while Chicago took 2 of 3 in Baltimore (and came within two outs of getting the sweep). The Twins now host Texas while the Sox go to KC.

The slumping portion of the team is the pitching staff. Last time I checked, Pods is hitting .270, which is only 8 points below his career numbers. The Sox as a team have the second-highest BA in the majors at .286 (despite Brian Anderson barely hitting his weight), 159 HRs (which is 13 better than anyone else in the majors), and 588 runs scored (best by 18). The pitching staff right now is middle-of-the-pack, and that's what needs to improve, especially Buehrle and Garcia, who have looked horrid in their past few outings.

No, the Twins are definatley going to pass us up. Their pitching is too good and their bats have really heated up. A lot of our players are really slumping like Pods etc. Were hanging by our fingernails with the Twins and Yanks clipping us off. Right now, the Twins are the scariest team in baseball outside of their division cohorts, don't take our eyes off them.
