The majority of Americans refrain from violence and would prefer to negotiate a peaceful resolution to conflicts. However, the majority of Americans also will not tolerate for very long someone or something infringing on their rights and threatening their freedom. Think the wild, wild, wild west upbringing here. Wearing a badge, but also carrying the ol' holster.

I think as Americans we are taught to look the other way in this type of situation. We see violence and hear about it every day. Also, the President lets it go on so as Americans we just accept it and try to move on.

Americans, Europeans, Africans, Muslims, Jews, etc, are all made in God's image and God is love. So therefore, NO ONE was 'bred' to be violent. Jesus said that the greatest of the Ten Commandments is that we love one another. So no matter what your nationality is, you were made to LOVE instead of hate. And if you find yourself hating anyone, you have missed the mark. May God bless.

Yes, they are. Violence is the outward manifestation of angry fear. The United States, in the last couple of generations, have completely abandoned the role of the parents and the role of the children. Children have been given reign over the home, the schools, and the nation.

I would liken what is happening now more to "Children of the corn," than I would "children of America."

It's not just Americans. Each generation born is exposed to more and more. It's almost impossible to shield them from realty. I grew up seeing images from Vietnam. Now it's the Middle East. You have more gangs. You have more families having someone other than themselves raise their kids while they work. Blood and gore are the norm. The thing is we can still be good people. We just have to try a little harder.

We are trained to accept relative morals rather than absolute Truth. That is where the violence comes in.

Speaking just for myself ( I don't know everybody in America ) I was raised to stand up for myself and to help protect others who are too weak or frightened to stand up for themselves, I don't enjoy violence but I'm not afraid to take an 'as5 whoopin' or better yet, dish one out to some as5hole who deserves it.

If trained by the government, they are trained killers. However, the tolerance part is B.S.

Not at all. Quite the opposite actually. We do not tolerate bullies among us, nor do we allow racial slurs.
