Supposedly it is a biological thing. Large breasts/thighs indicate that you are fertile and would be a good carrier for our seed.

Don't think for one minute that big breasts are what every guy wants. But just to let you in on a secret, guys are mollified by breasts, probable an extent ion of not getting near enough when we're nursing. Guys who want big breasts, I can say without a doubt, were bottle fed from birth. So seriously speaking be proud of what you have, because they are perfect for you.

They're just a lot of fun to play with. They bounce, they jiggle. There's a lot to be said for a lithe woman with smaller breasts but big ones elicit a very visceral hind-brain sort of reaction from most men.
I worry more about guys who must have small breasts on their women. That seems almost pedophillic.

Not just big but shaped well.
It is instinct. Maybe, more to play with!?
Anyway, it is not critical for a girl to have big breast to be attractive. I think either big or small can be attractive. Perhaps, smaller is better most of the time.

Because males have been sexual selecting females for the last 500 000 years. Haven't you noticed human females are the ONLY females that have breasts BEFORE pregnancy?
ALL other mammals form breast ONLY when pregnant, and after puppies stop being breast feeded, breast diminish in size and return to flatness.
So males have selected bigger breasts over smaller ones, since it is a desirable trait for a-soon-to-be-mother-of-my-chil... because there is a relationship between breast size/ fat stored/ and milk production.
So, being a visual gender, males seek big nice round breast, they define human evolution at its best!

Why ask why? It's a visually stunning indication of womanliness. It's a happy sight. Don't feel upset if you're not that big. When if comes to breasts BARE is more important than big!

Breasts are a secondary sexual characteristic.
The bigger they are (within reason) the more that woman personifies "femaleness". Therefore, if two women are standing side-by-side, the one with the bigger breasts symbolizes mature womanhood to a greater degree than her less developed cohort.

why is the sky blue, why is the sun hot, why is water wet, all questions that have scientific answers but no one really cares, same thing with big boobs, I am sure there is some psychoanalysis that could be performed to figure it out, but why, lets just say "because we like them"
