I've heard that Chuck Norris doesn't read, he just stares down books until he gets the information he wants. Is this true?

yes it is. It is also true that when you ask Chuck Norris for the time, he tells you "two minutes till'", and then when you ask him, "two minutes till what?", then he roundhouse kicks you in the face. You just don't ask questions to Chuck Norris like that. He is the one who asks the questions.
