What do the empty houses mean?

what do the empty houses mean in a birth chart? in mine, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 are empty.

Hi! It can mean that you lack energy in those houses or it could mean that you have a lack of problems/karma in those houses. It all depends if you're an optimist or a pessimist. People think it is an automatic negative thing to have an empty house but it isn't. Don't worry or feel badly because they are empty.

Whatever houses your planets are at, are the houses where you must learn lessons and expand energy. So...you have planets in 1, 9,10,11 & 12. The first house has to do w/the personality and your physical being. Having a strong planet there is good....Saturn...not so good.

You see, it all depends on the planet. A Saturn in the first house could signify ill health in childhood, lack of energy and depression.

The 9th house represents the superconsciousness. Its natural ruler is Sagitarrius. It stands for spirituality and growth.

The 10th House is the public and very often represents fame and money especially with a conjunction (within 10 degrees) to midheaven.

The 11th house represents friends, wishes, and bright ideas.It's natural ruler is Aquarius. Again, it depends on what planets are there to indicate negative and/or positive. With Neptune there, you are easily deceived by so-called friends and can be easily influenced and given to peer pressure.

The 12 house reperesents the subconsciousness and show what kind of fears operate on an unconscious level.The natural ruler is Pisces.

What is the meaning of empty houses?

The fact that there are no planets in a house just means that the area of life this house stands for is not as eminently important in your life as the ones which have planets in. Keep this in your mind all the time that the word "Empty" should not be taken by its literary meaning....especially when you talk or think about horoscope. Birth charts are made solely upon the situation prevailed in sky or for that matter in atmosphere. They are good or bad doesn't matter with those born on that particular moment....for instance, if 2 to 8 houses are empty in your birth chart, it means the you are to wait for the opportunities to come to your door. But it doesn't at all mean that you should keep yourself doing nothing. These houses are significant and all you have to do is to keep your career, education, future in such a way that these empty house shall being to fill-in with dazzling colours with your potential performances with appropriate reward.
